For beer there is a huge variety of snacks. Many can be purchased at the store in ready-made form. And some cook their own. Today I want to tell you a recipe for one delicious and crispy beer snack called Potato sticks.
Such a snack can be stored for a long time (up to 2 weeks), so these sticks can be prepared in advance.
Sometimes I make these sticks just to crackle. And potato sticks can be replaced crackers for soup. Only when cooking you will need to cut them into squares, not stripes.
Time for preparing: 40 minutes.
To prepare 450 g of sticks, we need one large potato or 2 medium-sized potatoes with a total weight of about 200 g.
Potatoes need to be well washed and peeled.
Then grate it. You can use a large or small grater, as you like.
In the grated potatoes add dry dill, about a teaspoon.
Then take any seasoning that you like best. I decided to take the chicken seasoning. Add it to the potatoes. Enough of one teaspoon.
Now we take garlic. Clean it and grate it as well.
Add salt – one teaspoon. All mix well. We leave the potatoes in this form for some time, literally 10-15 minutes, so that it gives juice.
Then pour flour, about half a cup.
We break raw chicken egg and mix everything well. Pour a tablespoon of sunflower oil.
If necessary, add more flour as much as take the dough. Mix dough well. It should turn out to be about the same as dumplings.
Now you can roll out the dough and cut into long strips.
Lubricate the pan with sunflower oil and lay our chopsticks on it. Turn on the oven at a temperature of 180 degrees. We bake until the appearance of a light golden crust.
After we take out and cover for some time with a plastic bag or a tight lid. So the sticks get softer. After they cool down, and it is 10-15 minutes, you can serve them to beer. They also combine very well with cheese, tomato and sour cream sauce.
